The Lake

In this retelling of a Japanese folktale, a despicable man must test his luck against the curse of a haunted lake, or else lose a bet, his marriage, and maybe his life.

An eerie interactive short story with mild horror elements, atmospheric audio, and an approximately 10-minute playthrough. Content includes suggestion of spousal abuse.

There is a lake. It is no ordinary lake, for dips in the summer and with fish for the taking. The fish stay in the lake. Anyone who takes fish from the lake dies, now or later. Never much later.

There is a man. Not a good man, but you will suffer him if you play. He likes games, too. Through him, you will make a bet.

You will attempt to take from the lake.
